GEI Vietnam: Global Health (Summer) 

Program Overview
This 8-week summer program immerses students in Vietnam’s health landscape - exploring topics such as communicable disease control, rural healthcare delivery, health promotion, and equity in system access. Learn by doing as you collaborate with Vietnamese professionals and communities in the field.

Academics
Courses & Credits (8 total):
  • MED302: Global Field Engagement (4 credits)
  • MED303: Global Practicum (4 credits)
Learning Outcomes:
  • Apply global health concepts in real-world Southeast Asian contexts
  • Work collaboratively on community health-focused initiatives
  • Practice ethical, inclusive, and culturally aware public health engagement
  • Develop a capstone portfolio to support global health careers

Unique Experiences in Vietnam
Field experiences may include public health clinics, NGO programs, or university-affiliated research sites. You may support outreach programs, assist with monitoring and evaluation, or explore environmental health intersections.
