Your Semester in Auckland program lasts a full semester and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in a combination of CIEE courses, host institution courses, and courses taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in New Zealand culture. Live and learn in Auckland!

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Auckland will open doors for you to explore New Zealand's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.      

Samples of past excursions and activities: 
  • Attending a match of New Zealand’s national rugby team, the All Backs, and experiencing the electric atmosphere, famous haka, and the skill and sportsmanship of these legendary athletes
  • Embarking on a rewarding hike to the summit of Mount Eden, one of Auckland's iconic volcanic cones
  • Immersing yourself in the vibrant world of international art at the Auckland Art Gallery to admire works from renowned artists, explore thought-provoking exhibitions, and participate in art workshops
