Program Description:



With Hop at Goldsmiths, you’ll spend a semester at one of the UK’s most creative and thought-provoking universities— right in the heart of South East London. This is study abroad with an edge: where street art meets sociology, and your classroom might be a music studio, a debate on climate justice, or a pop-up gallery in Deptford. Goldsmiths blends academic rigor with radical curiosity. You’ll dive into questions about identity, power, culture, and change—while living in one of the most diverse, fast-moving cities on earth. From late-night gigs in Peckham to lectures that challenge the status quo, this is London seen through a different lens. Not tourist London. Not Instagram London. Real London.   • Goldsmiths, University of London is a long-established institution with a strong reputation in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Founded in 1891 and incorporated into the University of London in 1904, it occupies a compact, walkable campus in New Cross, South East London.
  • Your “commute” to school is a two minute walk and when you aren’t chilling on the campus green, you are attending class in funky repurposed spaces. Your campus is surrounded by music studios, street art, cafes and vinyl record shops. And when it’s time to go explore, all of London’s hot spots and tourist icons are less than 15 minutes away by public transport.
