Internships & Experiential Learning

Head to your internship or hands-on classroom setting, where you'll experience the city not just as a visitor, but as a working resident. Florence University of the Arts offers a choice between a three-credit internship or a six-credit experiential learning course across a variety of fields.

Program highlights

  • Internships are unpaid, credit-bearing placements at local businesses where you'll assist professionals with day-to-day operations

  • Internships are designed to provide practical experience and typically involve about 20 hours of work per week and may require a language proficiency test

  • Experiential learning courses are taught in English and blend lecture-based learning with project-based, real-world assignments in and around Florence

  • Located along the Arno River and housed in historic palaces, the university offers a modern, hands-on learning environment in the heart of Italy

  • From cooking classes to gelato factory tours, your time in Florence will blend experiential learning with cultural discovery
