Program Overview

Your Open Campus Block program in Nice gives you the freedom to build a study abroad experience that fits your schedule while living on the beautiful French Riviera. You’ll enroll in CIEE courses and online courses taught through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Step beyond the classroom through co-curricular and extracurricular activities like wandering the colorful streets of Vieux Nice, browsing open-air markets filled with local specialties, relaxing along the Mediterranean beaches, and discovering the art and culture that define the Côte d’Azur. It’s an opportunity to experience daily life in one of France’s most picturesque coastal cities.

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Nice will open doors for you to explore France’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

Samples of excursions and activities:  

  • Take a day trip to Cannes to visit the home of the famous film festival, walk La Croisette, and enjoy Le Suquet   
  • Enjoy coastal walks around Cap Ferrat peninsula or Cap d’Antibes to enjoy the stunning views of the Mediterranean 
  • Visit the Marc Chagall and Matisse Museums that showcase artists who have lived and worked on the Côte d’Azur
