Internship Details

Develop a strong foundation in salon operations and the key responsibilities of a successful hairdressing career. Hairdressing interns in Crete have scope to learn the essentials of reception duties, customer service, appointment scheduling, and inventory management. Support stylists, maintain a clean and organized space, and enhance client experiences. Gain hands-on experience with basic styling techniques, such as haircuts, blow-drying, and styling, to build a well-rounded skill set in the beauty industry.

In a thriving salon environment, every detail of the client journey matters. Creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere is key! From greeting and assisting clients, to ensuring they feel valued at every step, your role as an intern will be central to cultivating that positive experience.

Hairdressing interns play an integral part in salon operations by supporting basic reception duties, promoting home hair care products, and helping maintain well-organized retail displays. As you shadow more experienced professionals during client consultations and analysis, you’ll gain invaluable insight into tailoring services to individual needs, while gradually taking on elementary styling tasks. Together, these experiences will help you build the skills to thrive in the dynamic world of salon culture, where every interaction contributes to client satisfaction and salon success.

Hairdressing internships in Crete are intended to be tutorial, where interns receive guidance from professionals and are supported to enhance their operational skills and knowledge, in an experiential learning environment. It’s important to understand that interns who are at an introductory level will not be permitted to cut hair. The internship role will be catered according to the experience and qualification level of an intern. Tasks can generally include assistance with reception duties, salon support, washing, elementary styling, blow drying, and setting.

Greek or other foreign languages are not a requirement to join. However, interns should expect that a language barrier can still be encountered to a certain extent. Come prepared and willing to surmount a language barrier (and ask for help when needed), as opposed to being intimidated by it.

Interns should expect that the first week of your experience will focus on settling in and gaining some introductory knowledge, to build an understanding of what you can develop, learn, and contribute. Interns are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback, so that your supervisor(s) understands how you’re progressing and can assist to develop your internship accordingly.

Typical Schedule: Monday to Friday, up to 8 hours per day.
