Aged Care Services Internships in Crete provide students and young professionals with an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults. The internship experiences are intended to provide entry-level experience for students and young professionals, seeking insight into both the challenges and rewards of this sector.

This immersive experience will not only deepen your understanding of the unique challenges faced by aging populations, but also equip you with the skills and knowledge to thrive in this rewarding and essential field.

Aged Care Services interns have scope to assist with meal preparation and service, engage in recreational activities, and offer companionship, helping to create a supportive and enriching environment for residents. You’ll also have the chance to provide basic healthcare assistance and support therapy and nursing staff, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.

Greek or other foreign languages are not a requirement to join. However, interns should expect that a language barrier can still be encountered to a certain extent. Come prepared and willing to surmount a language barrier (and ask for help when needed), as opposed to being intimidated by it.

Interns should expect that the first week of your experience will focus on settling in and gaining some introductory knowledge, to build an understanding of what you can develop, learn, and contribute. Interns are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback, so that your supervisor(s) understands how you’re progressing and can assist to develop your internship accordingly.
