Program Description:
Spend the summer studying in sunny and vibrant Seville! Our Summer Academic Programs offer college students the opportunity to take credit-bearing courses over three or five weeks in one of Spain’s most beautiful cities. This truly unique study-abroad experience immerses you in Spanish culture—through academics, homestay or apartment living, and excursions—while you earn up to 12 ECTS (6 US) credits in just one summer.

Program Length & Credits
  • 3 weeks: 6 ECTS (3 US credits)
  • 5 weeks: 12 ECTS (6 US credits)
Academic Components
  • Accredited summer courses at the Spanish Institute for Global Education 
  • Pre-departure academic advising; ongoing tutoring & mentoring
Orientation & Cultural Immersion
  • Comprehensive orientation to the city, program logistics, and local customs
  • Cultural program with guided visits and activities in Seville and Andalusia
  • Welcome and farewell tapas events
Accommodation & Meals
  • Full-board homestay with a Spanish host family, apartment option (meals not included in apartment), or residence hall (subject to availability)
Logistics & Support
  • Assistance securing necessary entry documents for Spain
  • Health insurance for non-EU citizens, with access to top private hospitals
  • Airport or train-station pick-up at program start
  • Transportation card covering bus, metro, and tram
Excursions & Activities
  • Day trips and cultural visits throughout Seville and the Andalusian region
Certification
  • Official academic certificate and credit documentation upon program completion
  • University transcript available upon request. The University of Montana serves as the School of Record, as needed

Cultural activities and visits throughout Seville and Andalusia

5 weeks Spanish Language Course and Contemporary Spanish Culture and Society 
Credits: 12 ECTS credits (6 US credits).
Included in the 90-hour program:
75-hour Spanish Language and Contemporary Spanish Culture and Society class
15-hour Instructional excursions, cultural activities, and visits throughout Seville and Andalusia
