Program Description:

ABIC 07 – Arabic Language in Jordan (Online Program)

Ali Baba International Center (ABIC) is situated in the heart of Amman, the vibrant capital of Jordan. The Center offers online Arabic language programs designed for international students and professionals seeking flexible, personalized instruction. All online programs are delivered in a one-on-one format to ensure tailored learning experiences.

(I). Number of Hours
Students may enroll in as many online lessons as needed, with flexible scheduling and duration. Online courses can be structured around various weekly intensities, such as 10, 15, or 20 lessons per week, depending on the student's preferences and goals.

(II). Levels
All language proficiency levels are available, including entry-level, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Each student’s level is determined through an online placement test and a pre-program interview to ensure appropriate course placement.

(III).Topics and Content
The content of an online course is customized by the instructor according to the student’s proficiency level and specific language goals. Topics may include Arabic media, politics, and contemporary issues in the Arab world, among a wide range of other relevant subjects.

(IV). Official Credit Transfer and Equivalency
Upon completion of an online course, ABIC provides official transcripts and can issue supporting documentation to assist home institutions in granting academic credit. As a general guideline, one credit hour is typically awarded for every 15 to 20 contact hours completed through ABIC’s online instruction.

(V). Course Dates
Online courses are available year-round, with flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs. Start and end dates are entirely determined by the student.

(VI). Online Session Timing
The schedule for online sessions is arranged in coordination between the instructor and the student prior to the first session. Session times are set with consideration for the time zone difference between Jordan and the student’s country of residence.

(VII). Scholarships and Financial Support
Students are encouraged to apply for external funding opportunities such as the Boren Awards, Fulbright Program, Fund for Education Abroad, Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, FLAS, and others. ABIC also offers partial financial aid to eligible students.
