Program Description:

ABIC 05 – Arabic Language in Jordan (Private Program
)

Ali Baba International Center (ABIC) is international students and professionals seeking flexible, personalized instruction. A private program may consist solely of a language course or include the three core components of a full immersion experience: (1). A language course, (2). A comfortable accommodation, and (3). A set of rich extracurricular activities and guided-tours to the major tourist attractions of Jordan.

(I). Number of Hours
Students may enroll in as many private lessons as needed, with flexible scheduling and duration. Private courses can be structured around various weekly intensities, such as 10, 15, or 20 lessons per week, depending on the student's preferences and goals.

(II). Topics and Content
The content of each private course is customized by the instructor according to the student’s proficiency level and specific language goals. Topics may include Arabic media, politics, and contemporary issues in the Arab world, among a wide range of other relevant subjects.

(III). Official Credit Transfer and Equivalency
Upon completion of a private course, ABIC provides official transcripts and can issue supporting documentation to assist home institutions in granting academic credit. As a general guideline, one credit hour is typically awarded for every 15 to 20 contact hours completed through ABIC’s Private instruction.

(IV). Course Dates
Private courses are available year-round, with flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs. Start and end dates are entirely determined by the student.

(V). Accommodation Options
The students may select from a range of student accommodation options offered by ABIC, including private apartments, shared apartments, and homestays with local families. All accommodations are conveniently located near the Center and are easily accessible either on foot or via a short taxi ride. For more detailed information on each housing option, please visit our Accommodation Page.

(VI). Cultural Engagement: On-Campus Events and Off-Campus Trips
The students can take part in a rich variety of on-campus extracurricular activities and weekly off-campus excursions. These activities range from interactive workshops and cultural events to guided trips across Jordan. To explore photos and videos from past events, please visit our Activities Gallery Page.

(VII). Scholarships and Financial Support
The students are encouraged to apply for external funding opportunities such as the Boren Awards, Fulbright Program, Fund for Education Abroad, Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, FLAS, and others. ABIC also offers partial financial aid to eligible students.

(VIII). Registration and Admission
