Program Overview

Your CIEE Semester Intern and Study Abroad program in Rennes lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: A part-time internship with an international organization (approximately 20 hours per week), an internship seminar, and two elective courses taught online through CIEE’s global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in French culture. Live, learn, and work in Rennes!

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Indulge in delectable crêpes and other regional specialties and become familiar with Rennes by involving your senses 
  • Visit Mont Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you will explore the abbey and the citadel, and walk in the pilgrims’ footsteps through the sands and rivers of the bay 
  • Explore Brittany’s privateers’ haven and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery from the walled city of Saint-Malo.
