Program Overview

Your CIEE Semester Global Internship program in Rennes lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: A full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30 hours per week), an internship seminar, and a course taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in French culture. Live, learn, and work in Rennes!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Rennes will open doors for you to explore France’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Visit Mont Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you will explore the abbey and the citadel, and walk in the pilgrims’ footsteps through the sands and rivers of the bay 
  • Explore Brittany’s privateers’ haven and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery from the walled city of Saint-Malo 
  • Take a trip to Château de Fougères, a medieval fortress where you can explore its towers, drawbridges, and ramparts
