Program Overview

Your Business + Culture program in San Juan lasts 12 weeks and is designed for students with a background in business. You will enroll in a combination of CIEE courses and courses taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU, that focus on business. Enhance your experience with cross-disciplinary cultural and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Puerto Rican culture. Live and learn in San Juan!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in San Juan will open doors for you to explore Puerto Rico’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

Samples of excursions and activities:

  • Dive into the history and impact of reggaetón, the genre that put Puerto Rico on the global music map, and attend a live reggaetón performance 
  • Experience the magic of Puerto Rico’s bioluminescent waters with a night kayaking tour in Laguna Grande, just outside of San Juan 
  • Engage in community-based resilience efforts by volunteering with local organizations working on sustainable rebuilding and environmental restoration
