Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Athens will open doors for you to explore Greece’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.?? 

Samples of excursions and activities:

  • Explore the Museum of Herakleidon, a technological museum highlighting ancient Greek achievements in science, art, and mathematics 
  • Visit the Ancient Agora, home to “Ground Zero,” the starting point for ancient distance measurements, and discover the unique wheel-based method they used to measure distance 
  • Make a meaningful impact through hands-on volunteer work at the Greek Ocean Conservationist?project?to help protect Greece’s marine environment
