Program Overview

Your CIEE Semester Global Internship program in Palma lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30 hours per week), an internship seminar, and the option to take a course taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Spanish culture. Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Palma will open doors for you to explore Spain’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Bike along the bay of Palma with other Spanish students, passing in front of the Cathedral, the harbor, Palma beaches, old fisherman villages, and ending at the long sand beach of El Arenal
  • Visit Mallorca’s traditional family-owned winery, Macià Batle, founded in 1856, and immerse yourself in Mallorca’s rich wine tradition, which dates back to the 7th century B.C.E.
  • Visit Logitravel, an innovative online travel agency located at Parc Bit, to gain insights into their cutting-edge business operations and how they have revolutionized the travel industry
