Program Overview

Your CIEE Semester Intern and Study Abroad program in Buenos Aires lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: a part-time internship with an international organization (approximately 20 hours per week), an internship seminar, and two elective courses taught by CIEE faculty or online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Argentine culture. Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Participate in an empanada-making workshop to learn the art of crafting traditional Argentine cuisine
  • Enjoy a private tango lesson followed by a visit to a milonga to experience the local dance culture firsthand
  • Take a boat trip to the Tigre Delta, exploring its unique waterways and enjoying lunch on one of the islands
