Program Description:
Learn from the Maya Animal Alliance helping in a dog health and sterilization clinic, and explore Tulum, Mexico!

This eight-day adventure gives you the perfect mix of learning, helping animals, and exploring a new culture and a beautiful landscape. Work with the Maya Animal Alliance in one of their locally-run health and spay/neuter clinics for dogs, gaining valuable training and experience while you support a worthwhile cause with your skills and efforts.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore some of the highlights of Tulum, including touring the ruins, swimming in cenotes, and snorkeling in the ocean with sea turtles, as well as a free day where you can explore the beach at Playa del Carmen or enjoy the day as you choose before returning home.

Highlights
• Learn what it takes to put on a canine health clinic in Mexico
• Build your skills in providing animal care, including monitoring and assessment.
• Help Maya Animal Alliance run a two-day sterilization clinic for local dogs. Your program fee funds the clinic!
• Discover the ruins of Tulum

Who It’s For
This program is for current students in a vet tech program or vet nursing program (either in-person or online), as well as current techs and nurses. The program will be taught by a Loop Abroad veterinarian and by our partners at Maya Animal Alliance. The program is taught in English, but participants who speak Spanish will have opportunities to use their language skills throughout the program.

This program is limited to 12 participants.
