Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Intern and Study Abroad program in Milan lasts 6 weeks and features three key components: A part-time internship with an international organization (15-20 hours per week), an internship seminar, and a 3-credit academic course taught by CIEE faculty or online through CIEE’s global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Italian culture. Live, learn, and work in Milan!

Samples of past excursions and activities: 

  • Take a day trip to Lake Como or to an iconic Italian town like Geneva to see some of Italy’s most beautiful natural landscapes 
  • Participate in a pasta making and/or wine-tasting session to complement gastronomy-based courses    
  • Go to Milan’s famous San Siro Stadium to cheer on a professional soccer match
