Program Description:
Intern Abroad HQ Hero
Join a group of students from around the world to Study Abroad in Tanzania for 4 weeks during Summer 2025!

This program combines internship placements, academic coursework, group excursions, and weekly reflections to create an immersive and community-oriented learning experience.

We match you with innovative and entrepreneurial host organizations around the world that give you the opportunity to make a real contribution on high-impact projects in your chosen career field.

Our experiential learning approach provides a structured and guided platform for you to think critically about your experiences on your internship. Participants have the option to earn up to 14 academic credits through our School of Record partner, Warren Wilson College.
 
Internship Options

You can choose to complete your internship hours in any of the following career fields. These internships are suitable for participants who are pursuing / or have completed a university degree in a related field of study. Some placements, especially internships in healthcare, may have additional requirements. Choose from:

Eligibility Requirements

This program is open to students of all academic levels and majors.

This program is conducted in English.
 
Program Inclusions

You will live alongside other students in a volunteer house accommodation, and extracurricular activities will be included to ensure you experience real cultural immersion during your trip. Your program includes:
  • Online pre-departure meet-ups to know your coordinators and other students
  • Airport pick-up
  • Accommodation in a volunteer house
  • 2 meals per day (breakfast and dinner)
  • Orientation
  • Placement in your internship of choice
  • Welcome and farewell dinners
  • Weekly group reflections to process your learnings
  • Coursework materials & guidance
  • Up to 14 academic credits
  • Cultural activities and excursions
    • Week 1 - Overnight Safari
    • Week 2 - Kilimanjaro Weekend
    • Week 3 - Maasai Cultural Experience
    • Week 4 - Arusha National Park

Your program fee is dependent on the number of academic credits selected. Please note you are not required to earn credits to participate in this program. See full pricing details on our website.
 
How to Apply

Apply for free: Complete our Study Abroad Interest Form.
  • Select your start date, career field, and duration.
  • Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Deposit.
  • Pay your Balance: This is due 60 days before your program starts.
