Program Description:

This 4-week summer course focuses on tropical marine ecology and the interactions between humans and marine ecosystems. Students will explore the Gulf of Thailand to study Bryde’s whales, sea turtles, and coral reefs, gaining practical research skills and contributing to ongoing marine ecology research. 

Highlights:
  • 20 + dives in Koh Tao - Thailand's top diving destination
  • Earn your PADI Open Water and PADI Advanced Open Water SCUBA certifications and use the skills for research dives on the reef
  • Contribute to Global Reef's research on coral bleaching and fish populations
  • Collect data on Bryde's whales sightings and feeding behavior for the Thai Department of Marine and Coastal Research
  • Hands on experience with sea turtles in conservation centers in Rayong
  • Earn 4 credits and an ISDSI Certificate in Tropical Marine Ecology
