Program Information

Gain practical educational experience remotely on this virtual internship in primary and secondary schools out of Tanzania. Remote education interns assist a mentor teacher in Tanzania, giving you valuable feedback on how your approach to teaching resulted in learning for students of all ages.

Your customized internship includes sourcing and securing your placement, dedicated support, online orientation and coaching. You will come away from the program with a portfolio of your experiential learnings and an international reference letter. See our full list of fees and inclusions on our website.

Eligibility Requirements

Interns must have a passion for educating others and/or relevant study experience in Education, Social Work, and related fields, or desire to gain experience in the TEFL industry. High School graduates aged 16+ may be accepted, depending on the strength of their application (including any relevant experience, with a desire to learn and grow within this field).

This internship is conducted in English.

Academic credit is available for all experiences, through our School of Record partnerships with University of Montana (1-5 credits) and Warren Wilson College (6-16 credits). Check in with your academic advisor to understand if you can apply these transfer credits toward your degree at your home institution.

How to Apply

Apply for free: Complete an online application form via the Intern Abroad HQ website.

Select your start date and duration: All Intern Abroad HQ virtual programs are available year-round and you can choose to intern for 100, 250, or 350 contact hours.

Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Deposit.

Pay your Balance: This is due 60 days before your program starts.

Need to make changes to your booking? You can make free unlimited changes to your destination, project and dates up until 60 days before you start.
