Why ISS?

We offer a proven method of acquiring in-depth knowledge of the Spanish language, literature and culture. In addition to regular classes, our program of cultural activities and direct contact with Spanish people are ideal ways to achieve this goal. The faculty is composed of highly qualified professors from Spanish universities, and most U.S. educational institutions accept credit for our courses.
Our programs are an enriching and comprehensive experience for the student interested in becoming well versed in Spanish culture and language.

Personal Attention

At the Institute, our students come first. The small classes and the individual attention given to each student allow for a very close interaction between students and teachers. As a result, most students talk about the feeling of being in a big family where their personal needs are taken care of.

Location

Valencia is a beautiful city, with spectacular beaches, delicious food, a wide variety of cultural and entertainment activities, its Mediterranean weather means mild, sunny winters, and warm summers to enjoy the beach.
Valencia's location is perfect for trips to other European capitals such as Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, among other. It can't get any better!

Cultural Activities

Visits and activities will be organized throughout the summer and school year, such as the Roman city of Sagunto and castle, Peñiscola beach and castle, Albufera Lake.
These activities will allow students to enjoy full access to Spanish cultural treasures. On all visits, students will be accompanied by a staff member and an official guide.

Host Families

A homestay gives an international student the opportunity to be fully immersed in Spanish culture by living in a warm and welcoming Spanish household, thus learning more about Spanish culture and customs and having more opportunities to practice Spanish. The host family plays a unique and vital role in the international student's experience. Host families provide a safe and welcoming environment, support and often help bridge the cultural gap that students experience.
We have chosen all of our families through a rigorous selection process to ensure that the student will feel at home.
The distance from the host family to the institute is less than 30 minutes by foot or bus.
The homestay includes 3 meals a day, laundry and room cleaning once a week.
During the homestay, the student will have his/her own room and will be able to use the rest of the common areas.
