Over the course of three weeks, you’ll embark on a journey through the history, culture, and identity of the Afro-Caribbean world. Dive deep into the influences of Taíno, African, Spanish, and American cultures, exploring how these legacies have shaped the Dominican Republic. Engage with local communities, uncovering stories of resilience and creativity through the island’s music, art, religion, and social movements. This immersive program will leave you with a profound understanding of the region’s rich heritage and enduring spirit.

Round out your time abroad by stepping up to the plate and learning about the heartbeat of Dominican culture: Baseball! In Santiago, you’ll discover the passion, talent, and business behind this national obsession.
