It is home to the incredible Santiago Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece with construction dating back to 1074. The old city center, with its winding cobblestone streets and many hidden plazas, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Santiago is famous as the final destination point of the Camino de Santiago, or the Way of St. James. It is also home to the University of Santiago de Compostela, one of Spain’s top 3 universities dating to the 1500s. The program includes tuition, housing with a homestay or in a residence hall, excursions, cultural activities, insurance and a dedicated resident staff.
