Internship Details

The Media and Advertising internship is highly customizable to each intern. Interns are placed in small to medium-sized advertising agencies in the town of San Ramon de Alajuela, and can assist local professionals in a wide range of tasks, on campaigns for multiple clients. Interns contribute to campaigns for a wide range of small to medium-sized local businesses, including product launches, rebrands, website developments, advertising or social media campaigns.

Your experience in your chosen area will dictate what you’re able to do - those with more experience are able to be more independent, while less experienced interns will receive more guidance from your supervisor.

Activities can include:
  • Photography
  • Photo editing
  • Graphic design
  • Assistance in producing video and motion graphics
  • Overseeing print work
  • Administrative tasks
  • Social media account maintenance and content creation

Interns can help with a range of campaigns for different brands, on social media, in print and digital campaigns. You may also be able to assist with video production for online use. Interns with an interest in graphic design should be familiar with the Adobe suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.
