Program Description:
Pre-School Tanzania
Join Intern Abroad HQ, the world’s most affordable international internship organization, and invest in your future with a Pre-School Children's Education Internship in Tanzania.

Pre-School Children’s Education internships focus on supporting children to reach their full educational potential as early as possible. The pre-school provides a learning environment with childcare and development support for the young children.

Interns in Arusha are accommodated together on one of the city’s most top-rated guest houses, located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood (just 15 minutes from town center). Living is safe, clean, modern and comfortable, including 24/7 gated security, housekeeping, and a live-in local coordinator.

Suitable for students with at least one year of higher education in a related field, such as early childhood education. Teaching and/or leadership experience is desired. High School graduates aged 18+ may be accepted, depending on the strength of their application (including any relevant experience, with a desire to learn and grow within this field).

Language requirements

This internship is conducted in English.

Internship Details

Your role as an intern will be to assist staff in meeting the children’s educational and social needs. The pre-school teachers will supervise your role and together you’ll provide educational activities for children aged 3 to 5 years old. You will assist in lesson planning and contribute to the lesson plans alongside staff in that subject.

This is a fun, high energy internship working with children with bright futures. The children require a lot of support and stimulation to learn through teaching and social interaction. The classes mainly require classroom support and people who are enthusiastic, patient and passionate about child development and education. Experienced teachers, interns and educational volunteers are crucial in delivering curriculum training and expertise as well as teaching to the children.

This internship is conducted in English, and most local children will have at least basic understanding of the English language. Interns are ideally placed to help to build valuable English language skills and your supervisor is on hand to assist with any communication difficulties.
