Internship Details

Interns can gain practical, real world experience developing and implementing IT solutions in programming, testing, UX, software development, network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and other essential aspects within the field. This is conducted via the research center of the International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki, Greece. The program is designed to be hands-on and interns contribute within a team, which is made-up of well known professors and PhD researchers. The IT & Software Development research team is involved with large projects around Europe, offering interns a unique opportunity to gain international expertise and networks. Projects themes may include:
  • Augmented & Virtual Reality
  • Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking
  • E-Learning Platform Development

Come prepared to work closely with an experienced supervisor on IT projects that deliver specific outcomes and build on the strategic objectives of various projects. Interns use industry standard programs and tools, meaning you’ll develop highly useful skills for your IT career. Any requests will be accommodated wherever possible, though are subject to availability.

Greek language proficiency is not a requirement to join. However, interns should expect that a language barrier can still be encountered to a certain extent. Interns should be prepared for the very natural and normal frustration of not always understanding what is being said around them. Come prepared and willing to surmount a language barrier (and ask for help when needed), as opposed to being intimidated by it.
