Homeless Jamaica
Join International Volunteer HQ, the world’s leading volunteer travel organization, and support the Feeding the Homeless - Christmas Volunteering in Jamaica Program.

On this program, you will help provide Christmas Dinners for community members who may otherwise go without. This project only runs for the week leading up to Christmas but can be combined with other volunteer projects in Jamaica for longer durations.

You’ll stay in a dormitory-style volunteer house.

The program is only available the week of Christmas.

This is a one week program. Your fully-hosted experience includes airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 support. Detailed pricing information for your duration is available on our website.
 
Your Impact

Christmas is a big celebration in Jamaica and the project hopes to ensure at least all members of the community enjoy Christmas dinner and get to engage with people after months of social distancing and hardship through the pandemic.

You’ll be volunteering with a local restaurant and catering business to provide Christmas meals to the homeless. Tasks include:
  • Menu preparation
  • Budgeting
  • Assisting with the administration and management of this project
  • Cooking
  • Distribution/serving of the meals

  • Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Registration Fee.
  • Pay your Program Fee: This is only due 30 days before your program starts.
Need to make changes to your booking? You can make free unlimited changes to your destination, project and dates up until 14 days before you start.
