Program Description:
Special Needs Sri Lanka
Join International Volunteer HQ, the world’s leading volunteer travel organization, and support the Special Needs Care Volunteer Program in Sri Lanka.

On this program, you will assist in specialist schools, care centers and homes for people with disabilities. In Sri Lanka there is often a lack of knowledge and cultural acceptance about physical and mental disabilities so these facilities and the volunteers who help at them play an important part in making sure disabled people have access to quality care, education and social interaction.

Volunteers in Kandy are accommodated in a volunteer house. Homestay accommodation is also available in Kandy and is a popular option for couples or older volunteers. This option can be arranged with our local team according to availability.

The program has start dates every Monday throughout the year.

This program ranges from 1-12 weeks. Your fully-hosted experience includes airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 support. Detailed pricing information for your duration is available on our website.

Your Impact
