Hua Hin. You will have the opportunity to assist in local primary and secondary schools in Thailand. Volunteers gain teaching experience while passing on valuable English language skills to students. In Hua Hin, you will be accommodated on-site at our local team’s headquarters, located in the hilly countryside of Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
In Chiang Rai, volunteers are accommodated on-site at our local team’s headquarters. You will live in a communal environment with other staff and volunteers in separate male and female lodgings. The accommodation in Thailand is well integrated into the surrounding environment and has a traditional village feel.
In Hua Hin there are
start dates every Monday throughout the year. In Chiang Rai, there are start dates on the first and third Monday of each month throughout the year.
This program ranges from 1-12 weeks. Your fully-hosted experience includes airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 support. Detailed pricing information for your duration is available

Your Impact
As a volunteer English Teacher you’ll assist in local schools helping to teach English to students aged between 6 and 18 years old. Many students haven’t had the chance to meet fluent English speakers and your authority as an expert in the language makes a big difference to the pace at which they learn. You can help a local teacher in lessons or lead classes on your own.
Many schools are open to new concepts and approaches to teaching. This means that you may be able to share your new ideas and teaching strategies that might complement the local Thai teaching methods or style.
Volunteer duties can vary but usually include:
- Teaching English lessons
- Tutoring students
- Providing guidance around pronunciation and word use
- Arranging educational activities

- Select your start date & duration: All IVHQ volunteer programs are available year-round and you can choose to volunteer for durations on this program ranging from 1 to 12 weeks.
- Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Registration Fee.
- Pay your Program Fee: This is only due 30 days before your program starts.
