If you’re a dentistry student looking for an international volunteer opportunity that enables you to learn about the operations of a dental clinic in Kerala, this project is well suited to students in the early stages of their studies.

As a dental volunteer you will be shadowing a local dentist in a well-established clinic that provides dental services to foreign patients who travel to India for its relatively inexpensive care. By observing the head dentist, volunteers are able to watch a range of treatments and procedures being carried out. You will also gain a deep insight into running a dental practice and receive dedicated mentorship from the dentist who is very enthusiastic about hosting international volunteers.

Local regulations prevent overseas volunteers from treating patients, so volunteers should expect to assume a largely observational and support role.
