Program Description:
Special Needs Croatia
Join International Volunteer HQ, the world’s leading volunteer travel organization, and support the Special Needs Support Volunteer Program in Croatia.

On this program, you will assist in care centers for children, teenagers and adults with a wide range of physical and mental disabilities. Volunteers will gain experience caring for people with special needs and help them become more accepted and less stigmatized in their communities, improving their overall quality of life.

Volunteers are accommodated in a dormitory-style hostel located in Split, about a 10 minute walk from the city center and from the famous Bacvice beach.

The program has start dates every Monday throughout the year.

This program ranges from 2-12 weeks. Your fully-hosted experience includes airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 support. Detailed pricing information for your duration is available on our website.
 
Your Impact

As a Special Needs Support volunteer your daily tasks may vary but usually include:
  • Running outdoor activities such as beach walks, bicycle tours and animal farm projects
  • Indoor activities like arts, crafts and cooking
  • Helping with physical therapy
  • Providing care and companionship
  • Preparing food, serving meals
  • Cleaning or helping with personal care

  • Select your start date & duration: All IVHQ volunteer programs are available year-round and you can choose to volunteer for durations on this program ranging from 2 to 12 weeks.
  • Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Registration Fee.
  • Pay your Program Fee: This is only due 30 days before your program starts.
Need to make changes to your booking? You can make free unlimited changes to your destination, project and dates up until 14 days before you start.
