Program Description:
Dentistry Peru
Join International Volunteer HQ, the world’s leading volunteer travel organization, and support the Dental Volunteer Program in Peru.

This program allows volunteers to help improve and provide everyday healthcare services for Peruvian communities. Volunteers have the exciting opportunity to assist in local dental clinics or health clinics offering dental services in Cuzco. You will support the day-to-day functions of the clinic while gaining valuable exposure to dental practices and the healthcare system in Peru.

Volunteers on Cusco based projects will be accommodated in either a dorm-style volunteer house or a homestay with a local host family.

The program has start dates every Monday throughout the year.

This program ranges from 1-24 weeks. Your fully-hosted experience includes airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 support. Detailed pricing information for your duration is available on our website.
 
Your Impact

As a Dental volunteer in Peru, your tasks may include:
  • Assisting with teeth cleaning and check-ups
  • Shadowing a dentist or dental hygienist
  • Teaching patients about basic dental hygiene and oral health
  • Cleaning and preparing materials
  • Helping to schedule appointments and other administrative tasks
  • Helping with local education programs promoting good oral hygiene

Your tasks and the level of hands-on work you are able to complete may vary based on the needs of the project and the community at the time you are volunteering, and will also depend on your level of studies and qualifications.

  • Select your start date & duration: All IVHQ volunteer programs are available year-round and you can choose to volunteer for durations on this program ranging from 1 to 24 weeks.
  • Complete your registration: After you have been accepted on your chosen program, you can secure your place by paying the Registration Fee.
  • Pay your Program Fee: This is only due 30 days before your program starts.
Need to make changes to your booking? You can make free unlimited changes to your destination, project and dates up until 14 days before you start.
