Join International Volunteer HQ, the world’s leading volunteer travel organization, on the School and Community Renovation project in Bali. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in building and renovation at schools and community spaces in the beachside area of Lovina.

You’ll stay in a dormitory-style volunteer center where you’ll get the chance to experience typical Balinese village life - roosters crowing and all - away from busy tourist hot spots. Living conditions are basic but comfortable with a pool, hot water, electricity, and air conditioning provided. Volunteers can expect to share a room with up to five other volunteers of the same gender. Bedding is provided. Each bedroom has a bathroom with showers and western toilets.

Programs have start dates every Monday throughout the year.

While volunteer schedules depend on the particular projects and placements, a typical day might look like this:

8:00 AM Breakfast at the volunteer house.
9:00 AM Volunteers spend 1 to 2 hours planning for their projects.
12:00 PM Lunch.
1:00 PM Volunteers head to their placements.
5:00 PM Work at the project usually ends. Volunteers are free to travel back to their accommodation, go sightseeing, or do some shopping.
7:00 - 8:00 PM Dinner at the volunteer house.

Weekends are left for free time and exploration.

As a School and Community Renovation volunteer, you’ll assist local teams with the maintenance and renovation of schools and community spaces and be able to see the visible difference you make.

Renovation volunteer work varies, but tasks may include:

• Repairs and renovation
• Gardening and landscaping
• Maintenance and cleaning
• Making signs
