Program Description:
When one mentions South America two countries immediately come to mind: Argentina and Brazil. While these two behemoths are well known beyond the continent, they only capture a small part of the essence and culture of South America. Known as “the heart of South America” not only because of its geographical location, but also for its cultural engine that drives the region’s ethnic identity, Bolivia is one of the continent’s best kept secrets. This, however, is rapidly changing. Parts of the recent installment of Star Wars film anthology The Last Jedi were filmed in Salaar Uyuni, Bolivia and every year more tourists are visiting this Andean country.  Abroadia students also have numerous opportunities to do volunteer work or participate in an internship. But more importantly, they will have the opportunity to enjoy the symphonious music and the exquisite cuisine that are the hallmarks of this country.
