Program Description:

SIT Study Abroad Netherlands: Human Trafficking, Sex Trade, & Modern Slavery in Europe (Summer)

Unpack historical and contemporary debates about sex work in a global context, and study human trafficking and its role in forced labor. In Amsterdam, meet sex workers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and academics to examine the legal, social, and political dimensions of sex industries. Explore intersections of gender, race, colonialism, economics, and human rights, while evaluating efforts to counter human trafficking. With a focus on Amsterdam and the Red-Light District, apply a global lens to debates around sex work.

Please visit the SIT Study Abroad website for details on the program highlights and details of coursework, educational excursions, and housing.
