Program Description:

Virtual Internship – Human Rights and Access to Justice

Cover
Yes, you can still intern abroad this summer. Get the experience you need to land your purpose-driven international dream job – from home. Spend this summer analysing photos of baby sea turtles or scanning drone footage of tropical coral reefs. Alternatively, set up a fundraising campaign for a women’s empowerment organisation or teach English to social entrepreneurs. GVI Virtual Internships include work experience with governments, NGOs and social enterprises in locations around the world, daily one-on-ones with an assigned mentor and weekly masterclasses delivered by local experts.

After successful completion you’ll have a final project to show employers, a professional recommendation from your mentor, hours of project-based experience, many new skills to add to your resume and a global network of peers and industry professionals. You’ll also be able to add several certificates from the University of Richmond and GVI to your resume.

Don’t let the current global reality stop you. Get started today and make a living out of something you’re truly passionate about.

Program Details

Globally, there might be as many as 40 million people affected by human trafficking. These are mostly women and children. In a dozen countries around the world, homosexuality still carries a death penalty, while four dozen countries don't have laws in place to protect women from intimate partner violence.

You will learn about the broad range of human rights issues and explore case studies illustrating different approaches to development challenges. Case examples range from government entities to NGOs, and from social enterprises to community-based organizations.
