Program Focuses

Participants on this internship will be involved in a variety of communications-related tasks with both the GVI field team and our local partners. Provide quality education, by assisting in essential English classes for the community of Siem Reap. Work directly with the staff here on base and take a leading role in developing and curating new media content. You will also work closely with our local partners to document the relationship and work done by these organisations and thereby support their effort in the community. Teach English and work directly on developing our projects in Siem Reap by creating thoughtful new media content and producing fundamental documentation for our growing partnerships in the community. Contribute toward United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #4 - Quality Education and Goal #17 - Partnerships for the Goals, by leading English language classes and workshops on various topics, such as gender equality and health, with our local partners.

Location:

Experience the Kingdom of Cambodia with its captivating cultural history and iconic temples and monuments. Siem Reap is a hive of activity, where medieval architecture abuts lively markets, diverse restaurants and riverside hangouts. Further out from the city you can enjoy the stunning natural landscapes, filled with lush greenery, glistening rice paddies and waving sugar palms. Local non-governmental organisations in Cambodia have made massive strides during the past two decades in uplifting their communities. In 2017, we were contacted by a number of these organisations who focus on sustainable development to ask if we would be able to provide the kind of support they need to make their objectives a reality. By joining GVI as an intern Cambodia you will take an active role in improving the educational and community initiatives in Siem Reap.
