Program Overview

People travel from all over the globe to dip into the cultural treasures of Argentina and barely scratch the surface. Buenos Aires is brimming with art, culture, architecture, and style. Discover this magnificent city your way by customizing your study abroad term on the January in Buenos Aires program. This program is designed for students interested in exploring Argentinian identity and culture through dance and music. This three-week program is taught in English and complemented by immersive co-curricular activities designed to increase intercultural understanding.

Every CIEE program has frequent cultural excursions uniquely designed to complement the program’s academics and enhance students’ cultural immersion. CIEE Buenos Aires strives to presents the students with a variety of cultural activities and learning opportunities that truly enrich the local experience:

Enjoy traditional Argentinian cuisine and savor classic dishes such as empanadas and chocotorta
Immerse yourself in the greatest passion of Argentinians by playing a friendly soccer match with locals and fellow students.
Visit museums, art galleries, and cultural centers such as the Museo de Bellas Artes, Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires, Centro Cultural Recoleta, and others
Attend live music concerts at the local opera house Teatro Colón
