Program Description:
Medical Spanish Immersion

MEDICAL SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM | COSTA RICA & ECUADOR | EARN CME & CE

In this Medical Spanish Immersion Program, healthcare workers and students gain the necessary Spanish language skills and cultural understanding to better serve their patient populations and break down language barriers in healthcare.

  • Lodging with Host family
  • 20hrs/week Spanish Classes
  • Tuesday – Thursday public health education outreach projects
  • CME & CE Accredited
  • Learn about access to healthcare and standards of care for the mainstream society and those who live in poverty so that you gain perspective
  • Provide preventative health care education in conjunction with existing local efforts in these communities in order to help without hurting
  • Interprofessional mix of fellow travelers
  • 24/7 leadership, coordination & support by Common Ground program leaders
  • From 1 up to 6 weeks options in culturally rich cities in Ecuador and Costa Rica.
  • You can do a combination of Immersion in both countries.
  • Weekend adventures to amazing beaches, active volcanoes, cloud forests & Andean mountain hikes.
