Spanish Language in Oviedo

Enroll in one or both of two, four-week intensive Spanish language sessions offered in July and August. You may earn up to one year of Spanish language credit for enrolling in both sessions. Classes are offered at the beginning through advanced levels, and are taught in Spanish by experienced professors from the University of Oviedo. The focus is primarily on Spanish language development with attention to writing, listening and speaking. In addition, intermediate and advanced students can choose from several elective special topics during the last hour of class that focus on aspects of Spanish society, culture and civilization.  Classes are held from 9:30 a.m.  – 2:00 p.m., which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the many leisure activities offered in the area the during the summer. You will attend courses with US and other international students. Excursions complement in-class learning and are included in the program fee.

Oviedo is located in the province of Asturias; known as Spain's "Paraíso Natural" or "Natural Paradise." Oviedo sits at the foot of the Aramo mountains, just 23 miles from Spain’s northern “green” coast. GEO program fees cover tuition, housing, breakfast only, excursions, books and course materials, local transportation, and on-site orientation. Insurance and a 24-hour emergency service are also included. For information on scholarship funding, please visit the Scholarships page on our website.
