Program Overview

The Liberal Arts in Spanish Program in Alicante is ideal for students seeking to improve their Spanish skills while exploring Spanish literature, art, and culture. Offered during both semester and full academic year terms, this program provides an immersive educational experience in one of Spain's most culturally rich cities. Housing

Students can choose between a homestay or a student residence.

  • Homestay: Live with a Spanish host family and enjoy daily conversation, home-cooked meals, and full immersion in Spanish life and language. Includes meals, private room, laundry, and a supportive environment.
  • Student Residence: Ideal for students seeking more independence. Residences offer modern amenities, a communal setting, and easy access to university and city life. Priority is given to students with dietary or accessibility needs.

Academic Requirements

  • Minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Completion of at least two elementary college-level Spanish courses or equivalent
  • Placement based on the University of Alicante's online Spanish language exam
